Eating & Body Image

Some days, food feels like fuel. Other days, it feels like a fight.

Body image isn’t just about mirrors. It’s tangled in emotions, memories, and the ways we’ve learned to measure our worth. This space is here to hold the complexity. Whether you’re navigating disordered eating, feeling uncomfortable in your body, or just tired of the constant mental noise around food and appearance,  you are not alone, and you are not too much. You deserve tools that meet you with compassion, not judgment. Take what feels supportive, leave what doesn’t, and know that every small step toward peace counts.

Support for disordered eating without being triggering
You don’t need a formal diagnosis to deserve support. Whether it’s stress eating, restriction, obsessing over food rules, or just feeling “not normal” around food, your experience matters. This space offers gentle tools to reconnect with your body without shame or pressure. No judgement. No before/after stories. Just compassion.

Neutral, compassionate body support
Body image struggles aren’t solved by just “loving yourself more.” Some days it’s about body neutrality and choosing to care for your body even when you don’t like how it feels or looks. Think: comfortable clothes, soothing touch, kind language, or turning down the volume on the mirror-checking loop.

Scripts for food/body talk with others
It’s okay to set boundaries around harmful comments, even with loved ones.
→ “I’m working on having a more peaceful relationship with food, so I’d prefer not to talk about diets.”
→ “I’m focusing on how I feel, not how I look right now.”
→ “Can we change the subject? This conversation feels a bit heavy for me.”
More self-advocacy phrases can be found in the Toolkit.
