Self-worth & Inner Critic

That Voice in Your Head Isn’t the Truth

The one that says:

“You’re not doing enough.”

“You’re too much.”

“Why even bother?”

That’s not your voice, that’s the echo of past pressure, pain, or perfectionism.

You don’t need to silence your inner critic.
But you can learn to respond to it differently.

Let’s meet that voice with something it’s never been given before: compassion.

Challenging the “I’m Not Enough” Voice

The inner critic often shows up when you’re:

  • Exhausted

  • Overwhelmed

  • Trying to do everything right

Try asking:

  • “Who taught me this voice?”

  • “Would I say this to a friend?”

  • “What might be truer than this thought?”

Tools for Building Self-Compassion

Self-compassion isn’t about ignoring your mistakes. It’s about holding space for your humanness.

It sounds like:

  • “This is hard, and I’m doing my best.”

  • “I don’t have to earn rest or care.”

  • “I’m allowed to take up space, even when I’m struggling.”

You don’t need to believe it right away.
You just need to practice saying it.

Self-Worth Isn’t Productivity

You are not your output.
You are not your job title, your to-do list, or the amount of "likes" you receive on social media.

Self-worth is not something you earn.
It’s something you remember.

And on days you forget, we’re here to remind you.

You Are Already Worthy

Even if you're not ticking every box.
Even if you're struggling right now.
Even if the voice in your head is loud today.

You're allowed to rest. You're allowed to exist.
You're allowed to take care of yourself without earning it first.
