When You're Waiting for Support

You don’t have to stay stuck just because you’re waiting.

Maybe you’re:

  • On a long waitlist

  • Between therapists after a tough ending

  • Struggling to find someone who gets it

  • Not in a place to afford therapy right now

Whatever the reason, it’s valid and you’re not alone.

While You're Waiting: You Still Deserve Care

Just because you're not seeing a therapist right now doesn’t mean support is off-limits.

Here’s how you can care for yourself in the meantime:

Stabilise the basics
  • Regular meals, even if simple

  • Movement that feels good, not punishing

  • Sleep boundaries (or naps without guilt)

Use gentle structure
  • A small daily check-in: What do I need right now?

  • Create one self-care “anchor” (e.g. tea before bed, a walk after lunch)

Use the tools that are already here
Community Support: You Weren’t Meant to Do This Alone

Therapy is one kind of support, not the only one.

You might also try:

  • Peer support groups (online or local)

  • Talking with friends who get it (even if you send them this page first)

  • Mental health forums with moderation

  • Podcasts, books, or creators who make you feel understood

You’re allowed to build a patchwork of support that works for you.
It doesn’t have to be perfect to be helpful.

You Are Still Deserving, Even In the Waiting

This pause doesn’t mean you’re failing.
It doesn’t mean things won’t change and it absolutely doesn’t mean you’re not worthy of help.

You’re still allowed to take steps. To feel better. To rest.
And while you wait, The Grey is here to walk with you.
